None of these are actually REQUIRED to build mkroot, but they trim the
dependencies down quite a bit (removes the need for "bc" and that funky
ELF library that only the x86-64 build requires on the host), avoids
silliness like needing to add a "gcc" symlink pointing at clang, and so on.
